Daniele Gates reportedly filed for bankruptcy last year, which has gotten 90 Day Fiancé fans convinced that she was running from the US.

Daniele, for her part, was so eager to move from New York to the Dominican Republic. She made it clear that she wanted to live there with her husband, Yohan Geronimo, initially claiming that she could not afford to live in the states.
This is despite the fact that she had posted on social media, claiming that she was earning $20 million a month via her social media earnings. According to Starcasm, though, Daniele at the time of her submission, was responsible for liabilities totalling $224,584.42.
Daniele was spending more money than she was earning, with a deficit of $1,300 every month. She owed money for her apartment – $36,000 – and had taken out over $60,000 in student loans.
In addition, she had accumulated $80,000 in business debt, $4,600 for parking tickets, and additional amounts for credit card debt. And to make matters even more troubling, it appears that she did not tell Yohan that she had filed.
This naturally raises serious questions over the relationship moving forward, as there could be trust issues. Not only that, but there could be problems over whether they are on the same page when it comes to moving forward. And this was reflected in the comments that followed on social media, as the comments were very brutal indeed.
One person wrote: “I said it she probably got evicted from [her] apartment and she [is] broke now. I want to live in your country, nothing you can do. He could do better. Hope Dominican Republic [has] welfare, you should be first in line.”
