’90 Day Fiancé: The Single Life’ Spoilers indicate that Colt Johnson’s relationship with his Mom, Debbie, he has a close relationship with her and they are pretty much a package deal. Wherever Colt goes, Debbie goes.
However now that Colt and Vanessa have made things official, it looks like Vanessa is taking things into her own hands to ensure that Debbie has her own happiness so that she won’t be meddling in theirs… smart move, Vanessa.

It only helps matters that Debbie already likes Vanessa and it’s pretty clear that whomever Debbie liked is the girl that Colt would wind up with, because she was blatantly against Larissa and Jess. (Anybody remember Debbie’s “don’t get married!” orders in the airport lobby last year? Me too.)
Debbie had Vanessa picked out as a daughter-in-law long before Colt ever considered her a blip on the radar screen. If you’re going to have a strong force in your life like Debbie, because it’s clear that wherever Colt goes, Debbie will follow, it’s a good idea to have the love of your life as a friend to her and not as an enemy.
There’s two girls who can attest to how Debbie is when she doesn’t like someone and those two are Jess and Larissa. Vanessa has decided to try and distract Debbie while she sinks her claws deeper into Colt, though. As it turns out, Debbie is a widower, her husband died 12 years ago and she was married for 27 years before that, she said that she hasn’t dated in quite awhile. (That’s not surprising.)
So on the date of their couples counseling appointment, Vanessa decided to make Debbie’s dating profile live. Debbie seems to like the idea of them doing the couples counseling thing, and that’s probably because she wants a daughter-in-law out of this deal.
She said that she always wanted Colt and Vanessa together. The therapist made them do a role reversal session and it brought up some interesting issues between the two, Vanessa’s underlying issue is that she feels that she won’t be enough, or even good enough, for Colt.
Colt’s issue is that he seems to get bored in relationships very easily.and then moves onto “something else”, Colt’s afraid they won’t be able to resolve these issues… will they? Stay tuned!!!
