’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers finds that Angela Deem Illesanmi decided to go to a fertility specialist in the United States to see just how having a baby with hubby Michael Illesanmi would work. She started this appointment by really laying the pressure on daughter Skyla.

First she told her not to embarass her and then before the doctor walked in when Skyla told her that she wasn’t giving her an egg Angela totally negated her feelings by saying, “No, they’ll take several eggs.” Angela is lucky that Skyla hung around after that statement because not many people would have. Body autonomy is important, family or not.

’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Angela finally gets the low-down on in-vitro

The doctor seemed to think it was Skyla who was seeking fertility advice at first, and seemed shocked that it was Angela who was actually asking for the advice. She said that normally the patients she gets were anywhere from age 22 to 40, but the fact that Angela was 55 seemed to concern her.

She laid it all on the line for them, telling them about the process (and assuring Angela that yes, what Michael did was definitely the tried and true process for collecting sperm samples) and she also told them about the risk.

She said that the egg donor, whomever it may be, might be at risk for Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome, which is a reaction to the excess hormones that a woman has to take in order to be an egg donor. It’s a very painful reaction, and usually requires hospitalization.

When the doctor mentioned that, Skyla gave her Mom an incredulous look and asked, “You’d really want me to go through that, Mama?” Angela then realized just how much she had been asking of her daughter. In her confessional, she said that up until then she had been being selfish and was just thinking of her own happiness, and ultimately Michael’s happiness, but now she realizes that when she starts involving other people that that she has to take into account how they’re going to feel about things too.

Then the doctor talked about how a pregnancy this late in the game is going to affect Angela’s health, she saiad that it could cause her to have hypertension (high blood pressure) and maybe even gestational diabetes, it would also affect her weight loss journey.

Then came the crushing blow. The doctor told Angela that it would probably run upwards of $100K for this whole procedure. Angela just spent that much getting five cosmetic procedures done, spending that much on one procedure is out of the question. However there was also another thing she realized, and that was that this kid would have her as both a Mom and a Grandma, and Skyla would be both Mom, and sister, to this child.

The money was ultimately what cinched the ‘no’ for Angela, but it should’ve been the sound of dueling banjos and the shouting of the Springer audience in the background. Seriously folks, she’s right, that is creepy. She says she dreads giving Michael this news because he is not going to take it well. We’ll see. Stay tuned!!!
