’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers reveal that Angela Deem Illesanmi is having trouble quitting smoking so that she can get her facelift surgery, so she’s going to try one of the last two resorts on her list, and this first route is hypnosis.
Now, in certain states getting hypnotized is a bit tricky because it prevents you from ever testifying in a court of law, but in all honesty, we’re not sure about that in Georgia, so for now we’ll assume that Angela is safe. Angela is trying out hypnosis because she says that she doesn’t want to do needles – a wise choice. (Honestly I’d trust hypnosis a bit more, but that’s just a personal opinion.)

The hypnotherapist, Dr. Tom Safrin, says that unlike what you see often depicted, hypnosis is not magic or voodoo. He also wanted to make sure before they went into the session that Angela wanted to quit smoking for her own sake, not just because someone else wanted her to.
One reason she has to quit smoking on her own, is because she said that she has an abcess in her mouth and that smoking was making it worse.
She also confided in him that it’s not just the doctor’s pressuring her, but rather in Michael’s own culture, ‘smoking’ is seen as a ‘party girl’ activity or something attributed to hookers. This is new information, we didn’t know anything about this.
We knew that his aunts weren’t all that fond of her but we thought that that was just because she refused to ‘obey’ MIchael, this adds a whole new layer to their dislike of her. Dr. Safrin said that he sensed that Angela has a lot of anxiety and he wants to rid her of that so that she can be successful at quitting smoking.
Angela has smoked cigarettes for 40 years, so smoking her last cigarette outside the office is quite a milestone. She wants to smoke her last cigarette alone. The session looked was really basic and didn’t seem intense at all, Angela just went and sat back in the chair and closed her eyes and in a few minutes it was all over.
Of course that was probably a clever editing trick and we didn’t get to see most of the nitty gritty of the session, but at least with this one session we can say that she’s trying. Angela is worried though, she’s afraid she won’t be able to maintain her newfound calm when it comes to Michael. We’ll see. Stay tuned!!!
