’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers has hit or miss couples on it, but so far, throughout all the seasons there have managed to be a few that really stood out, whether it was because of their characters or because of their situations, usually 90 day fiancé has a couple that you can root for… but season 9 seems a bit meh in that department. We’ve given it a chance, and we’re not the only ones that think this.
The couples are very milquetoast this time around and their plotlines really don’t stand out. Sure, Bilal’s plotline stood out for like… a minute.. due to him being a complete douchebag about gratitude, but when Shaeeda completely caved to him, they stopped being interesting. (That’s not a slam, we like Shaeeda, we get that she’s just trying to survive here.)
’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Why is 90 day fiance S9 so meh this time around?
Jibri and Miona are a yawn, sure we wanted to root for them but something was keeping us from it… oh yeah, the lack of any kind of originality to their characters. Jibri’s fashion sense is mildly interesting, along with Miona’s Kim K-esque aesthetic, but aside from looking amazing and being unable to adult properly, they really don’t add anything to the show.
We thought Kara and Guillermo would have an interesting storyline, after all it’s not every day you meet a gal who makes her living doing balloon sculptures, but aside from being very pretty, they literally add nothing to the show. They had a fight about buying a computer? When the fight could have been solved by simply going to eBay and purchasing a refurbished computer for the time being, laptops aren’t $1K anymore, this isn’t a decade ago.
Patrick, the resident juicehead gorilla, kind of gives me Ronnie from Jersey Shore, vibes. Anyone remember him? We haven’t actually met his girl yet, but we can only hope that Tyese promises to be somewhat interesting. It would seem that, much like Ximena from last season, she’s not interested in learning English either and has made it to where Patrick has to learn her native language.
He also can’t train female reps at his job anymore out of respect for her… one wonders if that’s a Gino and Jasmine type set-up. We hope that the season gets better, but we don’t have much hope. Stay tuned!!!
