90 Day Fiancé: Love in Paradise star Scott Wern just announced a shocking New Year’s resolution. Scott was in a relationship with Lidia Morel, who is Pedro Jimeno’s mother from The Family Chantel.
The two dated briefly before Scott quickly moved on to try and patch things with his ex-girlfriend. When that didn’t last either, Scott faded out of the TLC spotlight. Since then, he has mainly kept to himself on social media while still interacting with 90 Day co-stars.
While Scott hasn’t been getting as much attention as before, he has attempted some with other cast members. He recently spoke about the 90daybadboys Instagram account which included Rob Warne, Josh Weinstein, and Jamal Menzies. This would get Jamal’s attention, causing him to respond passive-aggressively toward Scott. Now, Scott has moved on to voicing about his want for a baby and a surrogate for the new year.
90 Day Fiancé: Scott’s Want for a Baby and Surrogate
Scott posted on New Year’s Day 2025 about his want for a baby and a surrogate. Scott looked to be back from his trip to Niagara Falls based on his previous story. In this story, however, Scott describes his resolution for 2025 and how he has done a lot of thinking about it.
“I know Ali isn’t gonna be around forever and she’s getting older. I want a baby.” Scott goes on to explain that he would rather pay for a surrogate than get into a relationship. Because he is “horrible at relationships,” he’s afraid of having to risk paying child support in the future.
Scott goes on to talk about what kind of surrogate he wants. “I’d like her to be exotic-looking” Scott states. He also would be open to creating the baby both artificially and sexually. This lines up with Scott’s preference for foreign women. The main women we have seen him date in the past have all been of Latin ethnicity.

Scott’s requests don’t end there. In his next story, Scott tags his co-star from Love in Paradise Dr. April Carter to be his potential surrogate. According to him, they have been good friends. He goes on to say that he believes she still wants children as well. “She’s beautiful. I’ve got brawn and brain and I think I’m cute. I think we’d make a beautiful baby.”
The doctor responds to this story with a message for Scott. “When your castmate asks you to be your surrogate, but you’re too busy being a baddie to risk a masterpiece. Priorities, darling!”
While April declines Scott’s offer, he seems to take the rejection well with him reposting her story. We’ll just have to see how his hunt for a surrogate goes from here.
90 Day Fiancé: Why Does Scott Want a Baby?
Scott’s call for a surrogate and want for a baby is very strange. He so far has stated that it’s because of his dog, Ali, growing older. Scott seems to have a fear of being alone. He moved incredibly quickly with both Lidia and his ex-girlfriend on Love in Paradise.
However, raising a baby is not the same as caring for a pet. His want for a surrogate sounds more like an excuse to sleep or be with another woman of his type. If this isn’t true, then he should at least put more thought into the responsibility of raising another life before doing so.
