In addition to running a hair extension empire that rivals Ariana Grande, 90 Day Fiancé alumna Miona Bell now claims that she was able to sponsor herself for her k1 Visa. A
s any 90 Day Fiancé fan knows, self-sponsorship would cause the show’s entire premise to crumble. So, we decided to do a little research and check up on what Miona’s been up to since her split from Jibri Bell.
90 Day Fiancé: Miona and Jibri – What Happened?
Miona first appeared on season nine of 90 Day Fiance alongside Jibri Bell in 2022. She moved from Serbia to South Dakota to be with Jibri. The couple got married at the Joshua Tree National Park in November 2021. By November 2022, the pair had relocated to Palm Springs, California.

However, their wedded bliss quickly came to an end. In September of 2023, rumors of an impending split began to circulate online and in the tabloids.
Jibri confirmed his divorce from Miona via a novel-length Instagram post and accompanying rap on March 23, 2024. Bell wrote, “Love is a gamble and [sic] heart break is beautiful.” As a self-proclaimed artist, the video accompanying the post featured Bell rapping alongside some likely free Lofi beats.
The lyrics are full of passive-aggressive jibes at Miona such as, “I see you got a new man./ I hope he treats you well./ I hope for his sake that you don’t put him through no hell.” And “In the Matrix she’s the girl in the red dress/ she’s not my trinity.”
While the rap may be cringe-inducing, at least Jibri managed to shoehorn a modicum of self-awareness in there.
Bell was also quick to admit that the divorce was not Miona’s fault, writing, “I take full responsibility… something about being in a [sic] long term commitment makes me feel uneasy and trapped… maybe I’m immature… or maybe I just haven’t found the one… “
The couple does not plan to return to the show or televise their divorce proceedings.
Jibri is busy attempting to visit all 197 countries, and Miona seems happy with her new boyfriend Terzel Ron.
Miona hard-launched her relationship with Terzel on Instagram on May 1, sharing a photo simply captioned, “Us.”
Ron splits his time between NYC and LA and works as a senior producer for Oprah, according to his Instagram bio.
90 Day Fiancé: Visa Vexations
On Friday, May 3, Miona claimed in an Instagram story that she sponsored herself for her K1 Visa. An Instagram user asked, “Why are people mad that you got a green card? You don’t need to stay in an unhappy marriage.”
Miona responded, “That is simply not true. I never got [a] green card through anybody else. Nobody ever sponsored me. I sponsored myself. That’s simply not true.”
Most of the time, self-sponsorship is legally impossible with the K1 visa.
Self-sponsored Visas, meaning Visas that do not need the sponsorship of an employer or family member, are only possible “ for victims of criminal activities and for those demonstrating extraordinary abilities,” according to the Aluwaliah Immigration Law Firm.
Self-petitions for victims of crimes are for individuals who have suffered from domestic or intimate partner violence, stalking, or physical abuse. These green cards exist so people can file for a green card independently of their abuser.
Self-petitions for those of extraordinary ability include professionals who are outstanding members in their career fields, such as researchers or professors. Even then, applicants need a minimum of three years of teaching experience.
So, unless Miona has a secret PhD TLC never found out about, it’s highly unlikely she was able to sponsor herself.
