During the latest season of 90 Day Fiancé: The Single Life, Veronica Rodriguez and Tim Malcolm’s current partners, Jamal Menzies and Luisa Beltran, disliked that Tim and Veronica maintained a close friendship as exes.
However, a shocking twist revealed that though Jamal and Luisa had each broken up with Tim and Veronica, they had, in fact, been hooking up. Talk about staying close with your partner’s exes!
The tell-alls for 90 Day Fiancé have morphed into multi-week events, now spanning three to four parts, not including bonus content.
90 Day: The Single Life Tell All Twist – Did Jamal and Luisa Hook Up?
Menzies revealed that he hooked up with Luisa “A couple of times” before the tell-all.
According to People, Jamal and Luisa were flirting in their dressing room before part 4 of the tell-all aired on Monday, April 8.
Fellow 90 Day: The Single Life cast member Chantel Everett also confirmed that she saw Jamal and Luisa together after hours during a break from filming. Saying, “Please don’t say you heard it from me, but I saw Luisa and Jamal out at the restaurant at the hotel.”
Luisa and Jamal first met when they went on a double date with their exes, Tim Malcolm and Veronica Rodriguez.
Jamal denied his and Luisa’s relationship on a now-deleted Instagram story. Saying, “Spoiler: but @LuisBLVL and I are not riding into any sunsets. Just a friend and thankful for her support during this roller coaster. I hold no ill will towards any cast, production, etc. It is what it is.”
Fans are now wondering if Luisa and Jamal’s hook-up could have been, quite literally, for the plot, enticing TLC execs to cast them on the show for another season. While Jamal is not a huge fan of Tim, he could learn a thing or two from the serial series regular. It seems Tim is involved in every corner of the 90 Day Fiancé cinematic universe, from Pillow Talk to the Single Life.
We also know that Jamal doesn’t shy away from confrontation if that means he’ll be able to remain in front of the camera. Jamal once called Tim a “bitch” in a rather heated argument.
During the tell-all, Jamal confronted Tim for not being intimate with Luisa, saying, “I was like, ‘Tim bagged Luisa?’ I was like, kind of impressed. I was like, ‘Why is he not going to kiss her?”
Luisa added fuel to the fire of fan’s continued speculation about Tim’s sexuality, admitting that there was a time when she and her friends thought Tim was gay. Luisa speculated, “Maybe my friends are right. He’s not into me, and he’s not into any woman. I really think that you are gay.”
Tim was once again forced to deny the rumors about his sexuality on camera.
Meanwhile, Luisa reposted Jamal’s Instagram story. She also thanked Jamal for his continued support and ‘having her back.’ She reiterated that she and Jamal are great friends and have hooked up a couple of times.
