Just when Kim Menzies and Usman Umar from 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After think that everything is going to be wonderful for them and their marriage, they find out some pretty rough news. Kim has told Usman that when they get married, she will gladly allow him to have another wife to have his children since that is very important in his culture. There seem to be some laws though about taking another wife and his K-1 visa.

The couple was almost in the clear when it came to getting married and even got the blessing of his family to do so. Now it looks as if they have yet another obstacle in front of them.
’90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After’ – Usman Umar May Lose K-1 Visa if He Marries A Second Wife
Kim did her research and she learned that if they get married and live in the states together if Usman takes another wife, he could lose his visa since this doesn’t line up with the immigration laws in the United States. This all came to light when Kim wanted to share her good news with her lawyer.
Her lawyer assumed that they were ready to fill out the paperwork for Usman’s K-1 visa. After chatting for a bit, Kim reads the blessing contract written by his family to her lawyer, “Kim Menzies must allow Usman to marry a young lady in the future to enable them to have children.”
The lawyer then tells Usman, “You would lose your green card if it were found that you were polygamous.” Kim tells the cameras, “If Usman can’t take a second wife, then I don’t think he will marry me.”
Kim has been very open about her stance on him taking another wife, “I love Usman enough to let this happen. I have learned that I have to pick my battles. I kind of stepped to the side when it comes to this subject a little bit but we’ve talked, and we have clarity on how it’s gonna be.
We have a plan that’s for us.” She added, “It’s something that I never thought I would imagine, but I think that just like if he ever comes here, he’s gonna have to adapt to my culture.”
We will have to keep an eye on Kim and Usman to see if they end up getting other answers they want about him taking another wife. Be sure to watch 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After on TLC. It airs on Sunday nights at 8 p.m. EST.
