Following Elizabeth Woods showing Ed Brown a profile alleged to have belonged to him on a dating website, the latter denied being on it during his engagement to her. Therefore, the implication was that a false account had been set up in order to make it look as though Ed had been doing things behind Woods’ back.

In his comments, he said: “It’s not me. Prove it that that was me.” This did not look good for Ed due the following reasons. First of all, the only way of knowing if Ed was telling the truth was to look at the contents of his laptop. However, that had been left in the hotel which left everyone none the wiser.
Secondly, given that Ed had recently ended his engagement with Liz, the implication is that he may have wanted a way out. In addition, his ex-fiancée Rosemarie Vega had also confirmed that Ed had been talking to her during his time with Liz, despite him having initially denied it.
With that being said, Ed did have some regrets over that. In some prior comments at the time, he remarked: “I love her [Liz]. I want to spend the rest of my life with her, but I don’t know how. [I don’t] know how to be in a relationship.”
The fans on social media slammed Ed for the manner in which he was coming across. A large number of people were of the view that Liz deserved someone better. Meanwhile, others began to make derogatory comments about him which were very brutal.
One person wrote: “She needs to cut her losses. She deserves better,” while another person stated: “What does he have to cheat with?! If it’s giving what his neck is giving how is cheating even possible?”
