90 Day Fiancé: Toddler Mom Woes From Emily
In her most recent post on Instagram, Emily shared a picture of Koban with his arms crossed and a very grumpy expression on his face. She captioned it, “Koban is going through a phase where he wakes up around 5a-5:30 am every morning. No matter what time he goes to bed. He doesn’t nap anymore and his normal bedtime is 7-7:30 pm. What do I do? once he’s up he is up. Will this just pass? Do we just wait it out? Anything we should try? Has this happened with your toddler? *

Asking for advice and not judgment. We are very much into 12hrs sleep for our kids. He just turned 3 so maybe it’s a sleep regression?” Of course, her fans were quick to step in and give her some advice.
One of her fans told her, “Mom of 7 here, at his age he needs about 11-12 hours of sleep, I definitely would not put him to bed any later. It likely won’t do any good. We had a season where I would put the kids down at 6 pm because they would wake up at 5:30 AM no matter what too. Enjoy your alone time in the evening and try and get to bed early. Good luck!!”
Another added, “Yes! It’ll pass but it might take a while. A light alarm like the Hatch may help! It may help if he knows “orange means stay in bed, green means get up.” At least if he’s up, maybe he’ll just chill in bed, but toddlers are insane so who knows lmao.”
One more chimed in with, “We got a stop light alarm clock which helped with my daughter staying in her room until the light was green. It was really helpful!” A final fan wrote, “Put him to bed later! But honestly, I could put my kids to bed at midnight when they were toddlers and they’d be up at 6 am! This might just be his routine for the next year or so.”
We hope that Emily finds the help that she needs with Koban’s sleep cycle and we will continue to follow her on her Instagram account.
