The earthquake in Turkey has us wondering, what has become of some of the 90 day alums that were on the show during the beginning of the pandemic, specifically Steven Johnston and new wife, Alina.
If you need a refresher, Steven was the Mormon who couldn’t wait to get married so he could finally “skoodilypoop” with Alina (his words, not ours!), young Alina was decidedly more reserved on that front but seemed to be in love with him and even though he wasn’t all that great at being faithful and they had plenty of fights over the girls he would talk to over social media, they ended up getting married in a ceremony that involved Turkish street cats because due to the pandemic they couldn’t invite their families.
’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Are Steven Johnston and wife Alina okay?
It ended up being one of the cutest ceremonies on 90 day, even though one of Alina’s favorite cats couldn’t be found in time for the ceremony, but Steven did manage to find and round up in carriers at least two of them. In the beginning, because of all the fights and because he kept talkingbto other women online and continually sliding into women’s DMs, we didn’t give their relationship much hope.
We thought that Alina would sooner or later get sick of his childish behavior (and you have to admit he was pretty childish and immature when it came to the whole sex thing.) and leave, but as it turns out, Alina is made of much sterner stuff than that.
According to her last social media post, which happened on the 30th of January, Alina was celebrating her 23rd birthday. She was wearing a gorgeous, champagne colored top and jeans, but didn’t tag her location in the post.
However, it was said back in November of 2022 that Steven and Alina were “geographically separated” and that she had returned to Russia because she didn’t want to be alone in Turkey, but when she made that post on IG she said that they were going to be together for their second anniversary and that she couldn’t wait. Her ultimate goal is to live in the US with her husband, but right now she does not have a Visa, or a source of income or even a way of making money right now. Yike!
Still, her last post was on January 30th, and as of this current writing we don’t know if she and Steven were anywhere near the earthquake when it happened. There is some hope that Alina was in Russia, but what if Steven? We hope that one of them posts soon. Stay tuned!!!
