Corey Rathgeber and Evelin Villegas, who are both known for being on the hit show 90 Day Fiancé, have confirmed the reasons why they decided to get secretly married in 2019.

The duo, for their part, had been dating since they met on the show in 2014. After dating for a period of five years, they decided to get engaged in 2019. Things, though, did not go well from there.
Corey admitted that he had cheated on Evelin, much to her horror. With a wedding now seemingly out of the question, the two managed to hash things out behind the scenes before walking down the aisle.
And looking back, it was probably wise that they kept things a secret to avoid the scrutiny. In a post to his fans on Instagram, Corey shared a picture of the couple standing next to each other happily.
The post was captioned by the following comments: “On June 11th 2019 me and Evelin got secretly married in Guayaquil, Ecuador. We didn’t tell anyone because Evelin wasn’t ready for her family or anyone to know she had gotten married at that time. I respected her wishes. We decided to keep it a secret.”
Unlike other ceremonies, the couple decided to keep things low-key. And in keeping with that, Corey admitted that the pair had only paid $20 dollars in order to register their marriage.
Having said all that, they were focused on keeping things intimate. As such, that moment will last forever with them for the rest of their lives. Corey added: “The process only took a few hours, and that was it. We were married! It was a very special and surreal moment shared only with the one I love. I am happy and so grateful. I will never forget that wonderful and crazy experience.”
Despite the criticism that has been coming at what the couple have done, the duo thanked those who stood by them. The following comments confirmed as much: “Thank you to all that stand by and support me and Evelin.” It is wonderful to see the couple being so happy, and long may it continue.
