When Alina Kasha was fired from 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, fans of the show were concerned about what would happen to Caleb Greenwood, her boyfriend. Some past social media posts came up and showed her in costume and posted some incredibly racist comments.

She has mocked different religions and cultures and fans of the show were very upset when these posts came out. Alina was very quiet on social media for quite some time, but this past week, she decided to give an apology on her Instagram account.

First, Alina shared one of the racist posts where she used the N-word multiple times. She made these posts back in 2015. She then made a post about being a 134th wife while wearing a sari. She then posted about how much she loved Hugh Grant, but was very sad that his wife was Asian.

In her apology, she told her fans that she was “told to keep silent and not say anything. I never wanted to hurt anyone at all, and I am extremely sorry I did. I won’t ever use any of these derogatory words again. I acknowledge my fault, and once again, I am truly sincerely sorry.”

She went on to say, “Again, I knew that the N-word wasn’t a good word. But at the time I didn’t fully know America’s history with racism and how bad that word is and how it’s used to discriminate and demean people. I thought it was more of a cuss word and like an exclamation. I didn’t know it was used to attack people.” Alina went on to apologize to Muslims and Asians about her posts as well.

Of course, fans of the show feel that she is just making one excuse after the other and they were not fully invested in her apology. There are also some viewers that were not happy that she posted it on YouTube because she can now make money on how many clicks the video gets and with her silence on social media, it is clear that she will get a lot of clicks.

These fans do hope she sticks with her word and changes her approach and attitude, but we will just have to wait and see what happens. It is clear that this isn’t an overnight change, but some people have been known to change faster than others. We have our fingers crossed for her.
