‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers confirm that Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) is in no shape to continue to raise little Violet Finn (Jophielle Love), not without treatment for his alcoholism.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Brook Lynn Suggested She And Chase Take Violet
Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) was the first to raise concerns about Violet, as she suggested to Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) that they take her to Italy with them.
Chase cutely reminded her that, technically, that was kidnapping, but she would do it in a heartbeat if it meant protecting that little girl.
She even said they could keep it local and look after Violet. This scenario wouldn’t be Brook Lynn’s first experience mothering a child.
Brook Lynn faked a pregnancy and helped Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) to conceal baby Baily Lou’s true paternity from the evil Peter August (Wes Ramsey), as Brook Lynn pretended that the baby belonged to Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).
Brook Lynn and Chase took good care of the little girl, and she couldn’t help but fall in love with her as if she were her own. It gave Brook Lynn a taste of motherhood, and she relished her role in Baily Lou’s life.
The baby lived in the Quartermaine mansion, and the couple protected her until Maxie took her daughter back, which she happily did. But she also couldn’t help but feel a pang of sadness and the family she had found with Baily Lou and Chase.
Now that Finn has turned to drinking instead of his family after his father, Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison), passed away, he is showing that he can’t be responsible for caring for his daughter.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Finn Is Out Of Control
Finn has demonstrated that he’s out of control, as he recently yelled at Chase and threw him out of his apartment after Chase told him that he and Brook Lynn should probably take Violet while Finn gets the help he needs.
Finn couldn’t see that this was reasonable, and he rejected the kind offer from his brother. On the June 14th episode of GH, Chase and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) discussed Finn spiraling deeper into alcoholism and agreed that they need to get through to him.
No one wants to see him subject Violet to his drinking. And if Finn were in his right mind, he wouldn’t want that either.
Now, history repeats itself as Brook Lynn and Chase want to take Violet and live with them at the Quartermaine mansion, the same as when they had Baily Lou.
Unfortunately, without treatment, an alcoholic gets worse, not better, and Finn could seriously put his daughter at risk. He could even take her with him while driving drunk, which could end in tragedy.
That little girl needs someone to look after her, and Brook, Lynn, and Chase are the right ones for the job. They will make sure that no harm comes to Violet, even if it means suing Finn for custody of the child.
The court may grant the newlyweds temporary custody while Finn gets his act together. Brook Lynn, and Chase love Violet and want to protect her, even if it means going up against her father.
