Thing are going to heat up when Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) tries to get through to her, and he’s going to have to take extreme action.
Addiction isn’t a joke, and we’re glad the show is handling this well, but we do have to wonder about the writers dragging Jack down too. Let’s dive in and get to that.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For Thursday, May 2: Jack tries his best
Things are definitely going to come to a head when Jack convinces Nikki to let him into her room at the GCAC and he’ll be horrified at finding her room destroyed.
He’ll start trying to get her to go to a meeting and may order her some food.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers doubt he’ll have much success given how entrenched she is in her self pity the vodka causes.
He’ll do his best, but it’ll fall on deaf ears so he’ll have to resort to more drastic measures, and it won’t be pretty.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For Thursday, May 2: Turning the tables
When all else fails, Jack will join Nikki at rock bottom. In a last ditch attempt to reach her and give into all of his stress, he calls his old dealer for some pills.
He’ll unload the problems he’s having with his family currently and how Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) was worried being Nikki’s sponsor could drive him to take pills.
He’ll take the plunge and pop a few pills and wash them down with vodka, horrifying Nikki as she’ll try to keep him from destroying his life as she’ll tell him everything he told her and she ignored.
In the end it won’t work as Jack will take one too many pills with one too many swigs of vodka and he’ll pass out with a horrified Nikki trying to revive him.
There is so many ways this can go and it adds another problem for the Abbotts with Jack succumbing to his demons and having to fight his way out along with Nikki.
Will this be the action that finally gives Nikki the strength and desire to pull herself out of her addiction? Let us know in the comments below and check back with ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
