Prince Harry and Meghan Markle “want to have their cake and it too,” as they have shown themselves to be a “woke alternative royal family.”
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle “Play The Royal Card”
The couple is traveling to the continent of Africa to visit Nigeria after Harry’s Invictus Games Thanksgiving Service. They will “participate in cultural activities” and meet service members and their families.
Harry and Meghan are doing the goodwill of the royal family, but without them being working royals. They will meet with the Minister of Defense, Alhaji Mohammad Abubakar Badaru, who attended last year’s Invictus Games in Dusseldorf, Germany.
He expressed his desire to host the Invictus Games in Nigeria as long as Harry was good with it. In 2022, Meghan discovered she was 43 percent Nigerian after taking a genealogy test.
Harry mentioned Meghan’s Nigerian heritage at the opening ceremony of the Invictus Games last September.
“Now, I’m not saying we play favorites in our home, but since my wife has discovered she’s of Nigeran descent, it’s likely to get a little bit more competitive this year,”
He quipped.
Upon learning of the Sussex’s visit to the country, royal experts are saying that the visit could even
“cause confusion and threaten diplomatic relationships.”
Royal author Tom Bower had this to say,
“Playing the royal card has become Meghan and Harry’s income lifeline. Once again, the ‘privacy-seeking’ couple are exploiting the family they have outrageously denounced to pump up their publicity.”
The trip is rumored to be funded by the Nigerian government.
The Sussexes Want To Be “Ambassadors” As Non-Working Royals
Harry and Meghan ripped the royal family to shreds with their baseless accusations and lies. For two people who claim to want independence from the Firm, they definitely use their titles when it suits them.
Royal expert Phil Dampier commented that Queen Elizabeth desperately wanted the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to be “ambassadors.” However, they have no interest in doing it as royals.
It must be nice for Harry and Meghan to have the ability to pick and choose what they want to do but not have the same responsibility as working royals. It’s like they are defying the Queen’s wishes and are half-in, half-out. It’s exactly what the Queen didn’t want.
Apparently, they have their own royal family and don’t need the King, Prince William, and Princess Catherine to “do good.” It’s the message they’re sending loud and clear.
Another issue is that since they are no longer working royals, they cannot access the kind of security, funding, or perfectly planned diary they would receive freely as royals.
Nigeria May Not Be Safe For Harry and Meghan
There is a Level 3 Advisory warning in effect for Nigeria, which means it’s the second highest risk level for terrorism, armed gangs, crime, kidnapping, and civil unrest.
The couple has been advised to reconsider their travel plans. It also appears hypocritical of the Sussexes to go to Nigeria when they were so leery of coming to the UK without proper security. Harry and Meghan are potential targets in Nigeria.
They may have the Nigerian government set up security for them, but this country is a place where about 87 million people are considered to be living in poverty. Hopefully, they will at least pay for some of their security, given that they have millions of dollars.
While visiting Nigeria may be a personal pilgrimage for Meghan and possibly score Harry another country to hold his Invictus Games, the couple does not consider the dire consequences that their presence in Nigeria could potentially have.
