Meghan Markle and her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, are struggling to find a permanent CEO. The Duchess is in the process of negotiating with Netflix, which could be poised to enter into a commercial partnership with American Riviera Orchard.
Netflix Would Search For And Hire A CEO For Meghan
A source close to Meghan said,
“This is something new for Netflix. It would run the lifestyle business with Meghan, developing products as spin-offs from her show. If a partnership is agreed, it’s likely that Netflix would install its own CEO to run operations.”
The Duchess reportedly interviewed several candidates to fill the role, but no one clicked with her. The streaming giant stepping in and finding a suitable CEO would take the pressure off Meghan, as Netflix would search for and hire the person for her. Meghan hopes that this partnership will be highly lucrative.
The potential deal between Meghan and Netflix is similar to that of HGTV for Chip and Joanna Gaines’s Magnolia network.
The couple has a home improvement show, Fixer Upper, and they also sell lifestyle products. This strategic alliance could prove beneficial for both Meghan and Netflix.
Meghan’s new brand will focus on home décor, gardening, food, and a list of other products. She appears to want to become the next Martha Stewart or Joanna Gaines. Good luck with that!
The new CEO must have a backbone and the ability to work with challenging clients. Prince Harry and Meghan have had a massive turnover of employees and staff.
With the amount of staff the Sussexes have lost in the past six years, one gets the feeling that the rumors that Meghan is notoriously difficult to work with are very much true.
Meghan Markle Is No Joanna Gaines
Harry and Meghan have lost at least seventeen staff members since they were first married and more than eight since they moved to California.
If Netflix is foolish enough to make this deal, they could be setting themselves up for a loss. Meghan is no Joanna Gaines, and it looks like that’s how they will try to sell the show. The Duchess is nothing if not flighty and undependable.
Meghan’s collaboration with Netflix will allow her to bring her brand and cooking show to a wider audience and help expand her product list.
This situation comes after she sent fifty jars of her jam to her influencer friends, knowing they would give her a good product review.
The Duchess unveiled her shiny new brand last month as she posted a video of herself on Instagram baking in a floor-length black ballroom gown and arranging little pink and white flowers.
She posted this video on the same day that Harry was set to appear on video for the Diana Awards. Filming for her new cooking show began last week at a rented property in Montecito, California, just two miles from her home.
The show was initially supposed to be filmed at her home in Montecito, which she shares with Harry and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are trying desperately to succeed with anything they can. This new development with Netflix will likely be just another one of their failed projects.
