‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers tease that now that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) have called it quits, it looks like the blond bombshell is free to be with whoever she wants.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Brennan and Carly Had Obvious Chemistry
Carly and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) do not see eye to eye over Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Jason is otherwise occupied with his legal problems, so perhaps it’s time for Carly to test unknown waters.
John Brennan (Charles Mesure) and Carly had abundant chemistry when they shared scenes at Bobbie’s. It was clear from their first meeting that there was a spark.
It was enough to make Carly curious about the man. Laura Wright recently spoke to Soap Opera Digest, saying that Brennan and Carly might make an incredible couple.
There is still not much we know about Brennan except that he was the head of the WSB and Pikeman. He also wanted Sonny and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) dead, but hey, everyone has their flaws. Once he exits prison, he could be the next man in Carly’s life.
Brennan is handsome, charming, and mysterious, which may be enough to draw Carly into his web. The “businessman” seemed to have affection for her since he brought her flowers as an apology for skipping out at Bobbie’s.
“I could definitely see him being a really great pairing for Carly, honestly,”
Wright exclaimed to Soap Opera Digest.
“His dynamic, his strength, his no B.S. attitude. Carly is a very strong character who is very passionate about what she believes in and feels she’s right all the time and runs over people and their opinions. I’m not saying that’s a great quality about her at all, but it is who she is. And I think he’s someone that can handle her.”
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Brennan Is a Formidable Partner For Carly
The portrayer gushed over Mesure, calling him a “fantastic actor.” Wright clearly loved working with him, so maybe Brennan and Carly could give it a shot.
It might not be about love initially, but Brennan seems like the type who could romance wallpaper, and he’s so captivating. Carly needs someone with charisma to balance her characteristics, and Brennan fits the bill.
Brennan and Carly could have a classic soapy push-pull toward each other. They could even argue over Sonny and how Brennan set him up. But then, their mutual attraction could get the better of them.
Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) may also ask her to set Brennan up. The two women want to get more information regarding the stolen guns from the WSB, and Carly could be their ticket to get to the bottom of it.
All she would have to do is walk into Pentonville and talk to him. Brennan is so good that even if he swore up and down that he didn’t know more than what he told Jordan and Anna, he’s probably lying.
Many fans desperately want to see a Sonny and Carly reboot, but the soulmates may take some time to reignite the flame. In the meantime, why can’t Carly have fun with a new man?
