‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers document that being an eligible bachelor in Genoa City, Wisconsin, has benefits. Who wouldn’t want to have two highly appealing women interested in him?
Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) is already involved with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case). Any reasonable assessment places her as one of GC’s all-time leading ladies.
Summer Newman’s (Allison Lanier) interest in Chance happened when Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) played dead. He developed great compassion for Lanier’s character while her husband behaved like a fool.
‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers – Rey Rosales Is Sorely Missed
The end of Jordi Vilasuso’s (Rey Rosales) Y&R run (2018-2022) was a shame. It not only served to kill off his character. Rey’s exit also signaled the wrap of the Rosales family in GC, which remains curious.
Why introduce an entirely new family, the first since Michael Baldwin’s (Christian Le Blanc) was expanded in the early-2000’s, and then opt to erase it?
Rey and his family members appear to have been embraced by the audience. While that is a subjective take, it is reasonable to conclude at least that Rey could have stayed. But he died in a car crash, which led to Sharon and Chance’s bond.
‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers – Kyle Abbott Plays The Fool
Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is an intelligent guy. But he is also used to various exceptional women, like Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle), to love him. Of course, Calle became Supergirl on the big screen. But her engaging character could have been recast instead of having her and the other living Rosales return to Miami, Florida.
Maybe Kyle should have moved south. Instead, he ditched Summer and had Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) fall for him.
Summer was put in an impossible position by her mother. Kyle should have realized that. Instead, he reacted like a teenage boy whose popular girlfriend didn’t tell him what he thought he deserved to know.
‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers – Sharon Rosales Does Not Deserve To Be Hurt
Chance is not engaged to Sharon. They have no formal commitment. But their intimate involvement means that he owes her respect.
Hopefully, Chance does not do to Sharon what Kyle did to Summer when he coupled with Audra. But if that happens, Sharon is living a balanced life.
However, the audience knows that the writing staff has mined Sharon’s instability issues in the past. Fans likely want to avoid revisiting that topic. Here’s hoping Sharon and Chance survive. If they do not, they likely want to see Case’s character rebound quickly on Y&R.
