‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that after the terrible death of his late wife Hilary Curtis, Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) has been able to move on with his life. His partner at the moment is Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway), with whom he is co-parenting their kid, Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware). Though fans have entertained the possibility of Hilary’s return, the volatile world of Genoa City always allows for unforeseen turns.
Even though the settings are different—Hilary’s death is depicted as a pivotal and poignant moment in the hospital—soap operas are built on unexpected turns of events. The actress who played Hilary, Mishael Morgan, recently discussed her thoughts on the likelihood of Hilary returning in an interview with Soaps.com.
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Is Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan) Actually Still ALIVE?
“You never know,” as the soap opera genre is known for breaking expectations, was expressed by Mishael. She implied that it was possible that Hilary “survived” the vehicle accident and planned her own demise, or that Hilary’s abduction from the hospital was planned by someone else without Devon’s knowledge.
Mishael gave fans the reassurance that “Y&R is always” on her mind despite her success in primetime. Viewers would certainly be thrilled to see Hilary Curtis return, but Mishael made it clear that she doesn’t absolutely depend on that particular plot to return to the daytime drama.
She demonstrated the enormous possibilities for delving further into Amanda’s character and her relationships with the Hamilton-Winters family by portraying both Hilary and her twin sister Amanda. Even though Amanda and Devon were able to come to terms at the town’s bicentennial earlier this year, her homecoming could rekindle feelings between the two of them and Mr. Hamilton-Winters.
