As devoted viewers recall, Eric Forrester (John McCook) put Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) in an equal position of power in recent years. He wanted to step back from Forrester Creations’ day-to-day business.
So, Ridge experienced the type of family teamwork and power-sharing that the company’s co-founder instituted. FC has flourished since.

Above all, Ridge wanted his father’s potential last days to be bright. So, he lied about winning the Fashion Challenge and said Eric earned the most sales.
That was one of the secrets that was kept from McCook’s character in the weeks leading up to his sudden collapse. Another involved the volume of people who were told he had a terminal illness.
Eric’s need for emergency experimental surgery temporarily saved his life. An immediate change happened at work, with Ridge making an executive decision.

Ridge has no reason to believe that RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) has to be the only designer to complete Eric’s final collection. Kaye’s character knows that Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) termination led to Eric asking Zende to work with him on the Hope for the Future designs.
Their efforts could have produced better results. But as everyone later learned, Eric was beginning to endure physical issues that prevented him from performing at a master level. Zende was not at fault for that collection’s mediocre reception.
Most importantly, Ridge also knows that Eric strives for family harmony. So, he would not want Ridge to play favorites by working solely with RJ to complete the current collection. With Ridge overseeing their collaborative work, Thomas, Zende, and RJ could all be tapped.
‘Bold And The Beautiful’ Spoilers – Zende Forrester Dominguez’s Passion Counts
Longtime viewers know Zende Forrester Dominguez’s (Delon de Metz) backstory. Eric’s daughter, Kristen Forrester Dominguez (Tracy Melchoir), and her husband orphaned and adopted him.
Eric embraced Zende, and de Metz’s character’s devotion to his grandfather is unquestioned. Ridge does not appear inclined to see Zende’s point of view or acknowledge that his experience level justifies working on Eric’s last line.
Also, based on Hope Logan’s (Annika Noelle) reaction to learning about Ridge’s decision, Thomas may rightly feel slightly as well. However, there is time to avoid another Forrester family battle during Eric’s time of crisis on B&B.
