“Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers love speculating about what characters are going to do and who will come to Salem next, and our current wish list has Roger Howarth at the top of the list.
Fans haven’t been very happy with “General Hospital’ since they let Roger Howarth go after declining to renew his contract, and now there’s plenty of speculation as to which show he could appear on next.
He’s a top tier talent and fan favorite, but his last run on “GH” showed that even the best actors can’t overcome questionable writing as it felt like no one knew who Austin Gatlin-Holt was for the longest time, and just when he started getting interesting they killed him off.
While there are plenty of characters he could breath new life into in the different shows, Salem may be the best place for him as he could help build a character from scratch and take the town by storm.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – New territory
Part of the fun of wherever Roger goes is he hasn’t been on any of the current soap operas aside from ‘General Hospital’ and that opens up so many doors.
Like other shows, ‘Days of Our Lives’ has plenty of rich characters he could step in and bring them to life again, but ‘Days of Our Lives’ would love to see him as someone new.
It’s been the “cool” trend the last few years for the shows to bring back stars and storylines from their heyday, but lately ‘Days of Our Lives’ seems to be building for the future with new younger actors and actresses playing bigger roles.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – New angle
One of the fun things about Salem is anyone new to town has that initial adjustment period where they simply can’t believe some of the stories of the town’s past.
This is where he could add a whole new flavor and layer as he could be someone completely new that doesn’t know the town’s history and actively laughs at the absurdity and even the incestuousness of the characters.
He could be one of the few men that can’t stand the Nicole Walkers (Arianne Zucker) of the world and instead prefer the more exotic and dangerous side of things.
Yep, we’re thinking he’d be great as a romantic interest of Kristen DiMera (Stacey Haiduk).
She’s been in limbo since signing over her votes to Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barish) and Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus), and he could be a wealthy entrepreneur or even a simple guy like a teacher of other authority figure for the influx of children to deal with.
Things can grow from him being Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater) teacher or tutor and he and Kristen could hit it off. Add in some quick wit to infuriate Brady Black (Eric Martsolf), maybe even earning Brady’s respect and friendship, and things will definitely get more interesting.
