Taylor Swift fans have good reason to be disgusted and appalled with sportscaster Dan Katz, who made shocking demands to see a video of the couple as evidence that their connection is real.
He posted a clip on social media that says,
” If Taylor Swift is taking over our Sundays, I will need to see a sex tape. These are my demands.”
Katz says that he doesn’t believe that Taylor and Kelce are in a relationship, which is fair enough. Still, he continues to say that if he’s going to believe it, he needs explicit evidence that there is truly something going on between them.
Shocking Demands From Dan Katz Katz Made a Lot of Listeners Very Uncomfortable
Katz goes on to say,
“I want to see P***s in V****a. Full insertion. I want to see some d**k in v****a. I’d even settle for a b***job. Until then, I think it’s fake, I think it’s for the clicks, and I think Taylor Swift is using the NFL to try to make her a bigger star.”
It goes on and on in this direction.
Apparently, someone is a little too upset over the media coverage of this supposed couple.
Katz may be 100 percent correct about Taylor and Travis only “dating” as a way to get attention from the media, but his explicit comments were inexcusable. Comments like this are best reserved for the locker room or in a private setting.
It’s one thing to accuse them of setting up a fake romance, but to demand to see a sex tape is simply perverse. It is one thing to call the couple out for orchestrating a perfectly masterful publicity stunt, but it is another to make comments of a crude and obscene nature like this.
Why Comments Like These Are Inappropriate
His misogynistic and sexist perspective shows that he doesn’t respect them as people. Even though it was a joke, it was downright disturbing. It might be something you would expect a creepy drunk uncle to say.
It may have been somewhat excusable if it came for the mouth of a shock jock, like Howard Stern or Opie and Anthony; someone you would think would speak that way, but it’s downright inappropriate and menacing from a sportscaster.
“Pardon My Take” may be a comedic sports show, but that type of comedy doesn’t quite fit right with the genre. Taylor and Travis must have been mortified.
Swifties quickly took to social media to defend the pop star. One of Taylor’s fans wrote,
“First of all….ew? Genuinely, what is wrong with some of you? Speaking like this isn’t creepy and bizarre to you?”
Another fan wrote,
“Insanely weird and gross thing to say; I’m eagerly awaiting the Swifties channeling their destructive energy into this one.”
Swifties wasted no time attacking the sportscaster. One person asked him if he thought his comments were weird, and Katz quickly replied, “No.”
Dan Katz has a young son and daughter. Hopefully, his kids did not hear him talk like this.
Dan Katz, or “Big Cat,” is a podcast host based in Chicago and receives almost 60 million weekly listeners.
