The White House reported that Joe Biden‘s coronavirus test came back negative, but the first lady Jill Biden’s office acknowledged on Monday night that she had tested positive. According to a statement, the 72-year-old is “experiencing only mild symptoms” and will stay at the couple’s Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, home.
The president has tested thus far COVID-negative, according to the White House, even though the virus is now again on the increase throughout the world.
Before Joe took a flight to Philadelphia on Monday to celebrate Labor Day with a speech to union employees, the pair spent Sunday night together at their Rehoboth Beach residence.
Before taking a flight back to Washington, DC to begin the work week, the president also spent a number of hours at their Wilmington house, which the Secret Service is currently renovating.
