‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) finds her crush on Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) intensifying, and it’s making her eager to take action.
Summer yearns for a chance with Chance, and perhaps that opportunity will arise soon. Although Chance is currently dating Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) their relationship hasn’t reached a serious commitment yet.
Sharon and Chance are still in the early stages of their romance, enjoying themselves, leaving the door open for Summer to make her move. However, it’s worth noting that Summer is in the process of divorcing Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and she may need time to let her heart fully heal before pursuing a new relationship.
Nonetheless, Summer can’t help her growing feelings for Chance, and this could potentially lead to some family drama when Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) returns to Genoa City. Lauralee Bell, who plays Christine Blair, has confirmed Nina’s impending return on her Instagram, making it intriguing to see the purpose of her visit to Y&R.

Nina will undoubtedly reconnect with Christine, Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian), and other familiar faces during her return. Naturally, Nina will make time for her son and may become quite inquisitive about Chance’s love life. It’s easy to imagine Nina sensing Summer’s crush and attempting to discourage her pursuit of Chance.
Summer, much like Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) has had her share of complications in the past. Nina may be reminded of how much Abby hurt Chance and worry that Summer could repeat those mistakes.
Nina will be protective of Chance and wouldn’t want him to be hurt again, especially if Summer appears to be drifting back toward Kyle.
Perhaps Nina will sense that Summer hasn’t truly moved on from Kyle and might suspect she’s on the rebound. In essence, Sharon may not be the sole obstacle to Summer’s romantic endeavors with Chance; Nina could also pose a challenge if she decides to intervene and influence her son’s love life, possibly warning Summer to stay away.
