Everyone is buzzing about pop princess Taylor Swift and her new beau, tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, Travis Kelce.
Taylor attended the game on Sunday when the Kansas City Chiefs played the Chicago Bears. She hung out with Travis’s Mom, Donna Kelce, in Travis’s invite-only box suite.
Taylor and Travis “Red” Flag
Taylor and Travis appear to be getting close very fast, but that may be a red flag that the relationship is not genuine and all for show. Rumors are not only swirling that these two are an item but also that their romance is fake.
It wouldn’t be the first time Taylor has been accused of faking a relationship for publicity. Taylor’s new “friendship” with Travis perfectly coincides with the release of 1989- Talyor’s Version, her latest incarnation of re-recorded albums.
This lovefest could be a stunt to draw more attention to her and generate sales for her album. Taylor is reportedly a Philadelphia Eagles fan, but the Eagles didn’t win the Superbowl; the Kansas City Chiefs did.
Taylor may have seen an opportunity when Travis wanted to give her a friendship bracelet with his number on it at her “Eras Tour,” but Taylor doesn’t meet anyone to chat before or after her shows because she needs to save her voice.
She may have made the next move to connect with Travis and open the door for him. After the game on Sunday, Taylor was seen hanging all over Travis after his team’s big win.
Taylor Swift’s Easter Eggs
Since beginning her career, Taylor has had a carefully crafted habit of dropping what she calls “Easter Eggs” on her audience, which are secret messages and clues to her fans.
Easter Eggs can appear in songs, videos, outfits, or Instagram posts. Anything that is important to her fans and stands out to “Swifties” or anyone who has some knowledge of her music.
Taylor was seen wearing her signature bold red lips. A nod to her song, “Style,” in which she refers to the “red classic thing that you like.”
When Travis met up with Taylor that night, he wore the 1989 Bedroom Painting Set from Kid Super Studios, which matches her album, 1989.
Taylor wore Chiefs merch and a red New Era Chiefs windbreaker. Red seems to be a theme with Taylor, like her song, “Red.” Taylor and Travis were both born in 1989.
Taylor was also involved with someone else whom she appeared to be faking a relationship with. Matty Healy. All seemed to be going well until Matty dissed rapper Ice Spice.
When Taylor couldn’t be associated with that kind of controversy, she broke things off with Matty and released a remix with Ice Spice called “Karma.”
Several other relationships she had seemed to involve more PDA than substance, like her “romances” with Jake Gyllenhaal and John Meyer. Then, the breakups always seem to facilitate another pop song.
So, while it looks like Taylor and Travis have a real relationship, remember that looks can be deceiving. And if you are with Taylor Swift, know that a song about it is inevitable.
