‘General Hospital’ spoilers disclose that Esme Price’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) “redemption story” may be too unbelievable.
Esme came to General Hospital as a scheming, lying bad girl who helped Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) terrorize Ava Jerome (Maura West).
She torched Ava’s car and left a photo id of Ava’s dead daughter Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) for Ava to find. As if this wasn’t bad enough, Esme filmed Josslyn Jacks’s (Eden Mccoy) and Cameron Webber’s (William Lipton) first sexual experience.
Esme then proceeded to frame Joss’s best friend, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), for making and distributing the film to everyone at PCU, rendering Esme despicable.
Esme also slept with Spencer’s father, Nikolas Cassidine (then played by Marcus Coloma), to help her deranged father, Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom), destroy Ava’s marriage to Nikolas, and she became pregnant.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Esme Locked Sasha in the Storage Closet
Not to mention, Esme is solely responsible for Sasha’s baby dying (why doesn’t anyone remember this?) Esme thought she locked Trina in the storage closet at Ava’s gallery, but it was Sasha and Gladys.
Sasha went into labor at the gallery, and by the time she got to the hospital, she had to have an emergency C-section. This situation left innocent baby Liam with a brain that hadn’t fully developed because he was deprived of oxygen for too long.
Years ago, it should have been revealed that Esme did that to Sasha, even if Esme was targeting Trina. Sasha lost Liam due to Esme’s spiteful ways.
General Hospital has been trying to redeem Esme since she lost her memory. She woke up with amnesia due to her injuries when she jumped off the Cassadine parapet.
These days, Esme is a new mother to her baby, Ace (Jay and Joey Clay). She genuinely seems to care for the child. However, her “amnesia” could be a clever trick to get away with her crimes.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Esme Gets Away with Murder
Think about it. Heather Webber (Alley Mills) may not have been the only hook killer. It made no sense that Heather was running around town randomly, killing people to “protect” her daughter.
What if Esme was the original hook killer, and Heather found out? Did Heather become the hook herself to take the heat off Esme? Esme may not have even had knowledge of her crimes. She may have started her killing spree by hooking Ava.
Meanwhile, Esme has yet to pay for her numerous crimes. She is staying with Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and her husband, Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom), along with Spencer helping her raise baby Ace.
Esme has been doing a fine job coming between Spencer and Trina. She has often been seen skulking in the background during Spencer and Trina’s conversations, making Trina noticeably uncomfortable.
The thing is that General Hospital seems to be taking the thought that motherhood can redeem Esme and absolve her of her many indiscretions.
If that were true, Heather Webber would be Mother of the Year.
Speaking of Heather Webber, she may try to help Esme get her memories back as a way to bond with her daughter.
It would be classic Heather Webber to use whatever angle she could to get the upper hand in a situation. She may convince Esme to let her help her manipulate her way into Esme’s life and see her grandson.
There is also a possibility that Esme may be faking her amnesia. One thing that can be learned from Esme falling from the parapet twice is that you should never underestimate Esme Prince.
No one wants to punish Esme right now because she has amnesia. This situation could change if Esme remembers who she is and what she did to the many people she has hurt.
