‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers indicates that Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) has offered Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) a really painful deal. It has put Phyllis in quite the bind, and it is difficult to see how she can get out of this one. Will Phyllis be able to get what she wants somehow?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Pride in the Way
Perhaps Phyllis Summers is just a little too cocky with Christine Williams, D.A. of Genoa City. Phyllis knows that the EMT Carson (Walter Belenky) will testify for her, saying that faking Phyllis’ death was Jeremy Stark’s (James Hyde) idea. He will also testify that he saw Stark attack Phyllis and that she killed him in self-defense.
None of this is true however, but Phyllis is fairly certain that Carson will help her out. She is so sure of this, that she kind of brags about it to Christine. Christine doesn’t like or trust Phyllis. She does want to see Phyllis pay for the crimes she committed. Phyllis though is sure that she will get off scot-free.
When she gloats about this, Christine responds that it is a shame that Phyllis got her daughter, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) into this mess. She could face charges for aiding her mother when she was on the run. Christine thinks it is despicable that Phyllis would do this to her daughter.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: A Nasty Deal
This news really shakes Phyllis up and she threatens Christine initially, saying she should not do anything to her daughter. Christine can bring any charges she wants to against Phyllis, but she begs her to leave Summer alone.
This is where Christine puts the knife in and turns it. She offers Phyllis a deal, telling her that she will let Summer off without any charges IF Phyllis will plead guilty to the charges and not appeal. If she will take the rap for her bad behavior, then Summer will be free and clear.
What will Phyllis do? She doesn’t want to spend any time in jail. But she has caused Summer a ton of pain already. Shouldn’t she be willing to take all of the blame to save her children? Does she love them enough to do that? What do you think? Is she too selfish to save Summer? How can she get away with all this AND save Summer?
