‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggests that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Conner Newman (Judah MacKey) are not going to be around on Y&R for a while. They have made a big decision and it may involve them moving away from Genoa City.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Hidden Turmoil
Conner Newman hasn’t had a very easy life. His parents, Chelsea Lawson and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) aren’t together anymore. He is being raised by his mother but gets to see his father now and then. His mother is seeing Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), so Billy has also been an influence in the young man’s life.
Apparently, Conner has been going through a lot at school. He doesn’t really have any friends that he can talk with and the kids at school have been bullying him.
They also talk about him when they think he can’t hear them. They talk about how his mother went off the rails with her mental breakdown and how his father is always fighting with his family.
Conner feels like he has to try to defend his parents and that is exhausting. He also feels worried about his mother, so he is reticent to share too much with her about what he is feeling. He doesn’t want to be the one responsible if something happens to her again.
The stress and anxiety are getting greater for him. He hates his school and the town they are living in. He tries to stuff those feelings but ends up being moodier and more anxious.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Taking Action
When Conner tries to run away, Chelsea and Adam see that there is a serious problem. They know that they need to help him. Conner tells them that he wants to leave Genoa City.
Conner wants to go stay with Chelsea’s mother, Anita Lawson (Catherine Bach). He has found a school that helps kids like him, deal with their anxiety and depression. This is what he wants to do.
Adam doesn’t think this is a great idea. He wants to pursue another therapist and start spending more time with his son. Chelsea sees that they need to listen to what Conner is asking and investigate the school.
Even though the discussion started with Conner possibly staying with Anita, Chelsea shifts to talking about moving. Even though she has a new job at Jabot, she says she will make it work. She will miss Billy though. What do you think? Will Chelsea and Conner step away from Y&R for good or will we see them again?
