The Masked Singer spoilers reveal another season is in the books. Medusa and Macaw battled once more to see who would come out on top. Let’s talk about the results, as well as some highlights of the season.
The Masked Singer Spoilers: The battle
First, The Masked Singer spoilers reveal we weren’t surprised to see Medusa and Macaw end up in the final. As we mentioned before, groups don’t seem to do well when it comes to the Golden Mask trophy. We couldn’t exactly hate on Medusa being in the final, as she’s put on some great performances.
However, there have been some where we felt she was a bit too hyped up by the panel. We weren’t very familiar with the songs she chose, but we thought she did a good job.
The thing is, we felt Macaw did better with his selections. Especially Eric Carmen’s “All by Myself.” When he was revealed to be the runner-up, we couldn’t help feeling this contestant got robbed.
Who was he? As a lot of fans have been guessing online, former American Idol contestant and singer David Archuleta was behind the mask. We really wish he’d ended up being the winner, but the votes went how they went.
So, who was Medusa? Singer Bishop Briggs. As with Archuleta, this unmasking was no surprise to fans. They’d been guessing her for a long time now, although some were convinced it was Fergie.
The Masked Singer Spoilers: Q and A
As the winner, The Masked Singer spoilers reveal Briggs got a special video about her journey on the show. She answered fan questions, one of which being, “What was going trough your head during vocal rehearsals?” The singer admitted she’s hard on herself and kept reminding herself not to mess up.
Other times, she’d have a harsh critique of her own vocals. Briggs admitted she’s working on that negative self-talk with a therapist. It’s a nice reminder that pretty much everyone has insecurities and it’s possible to work through them.
The Masked Singer Spoilers: Highlights
Finally, there were quite a few great moments this season. A personal highlight for us when was Dick Van Dyke being revealed as the Gnome. It was great to see him performing and moving like he did at 97, and DOOL viewers will soon get to enjoy him in Salem.
Another personal highlight was seeing Debbie Gibson revealed as Night Owl. She’s been a favorite since the ‘80s, and it was interesting to learn just how fast things can move on this show. Gibson had almost no time to prepare, as she was filling in for someone else.
Finally, we have to talk about the reveal that should have been obvious. Not every song was the best from him, but Doll was a fun character. When Dee Snyder of Twisted Sister was shown to be behind the costume, we couldn’t help thinking we should have known! No rocker could rock that costume like Snyder did.
