‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) is no longer allowed to criticize her mother after acting exactly like her. In a weird encounter with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), Summer tried acting as though she was making peace to appease her father, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
However, she had an ulterior motive at play and was secretly trying to get Sally to think about Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) again and how he was a better match for her saying that she always thought they would end up together, not her and Nick.
“Summer tries to trick Sally into thinking she is not done with Adam and is a better match with him than Nick.”
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Like Mother, Like Daughter – Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) Channels Her Inner Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) While Tricking Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope)
Sally seems to know that something is up, but can’t quite put her finger on it, instead she sits there and listens. Summer’s plan may actually be working as we can see that Sally is definitely thinking about Adam, how she is carrying his child and that they were dynamite together, but will this planted seed take root in her mind or will she maintain her relationship to Nick?
Hilariously, it’s tactics like this that Summer despises in her mother, yet here she is playing exactly the same game trying to get what she wants. Perhaps she realizes how effective it is and this is the birth of a new Summer… one that more closely resembles her mother Phyllis!
The big question now is whether or not Sally will be drawn back to Adam or stay with Nick. Honestly, I think this little scheme that Summer worked up could actually play out and work! Sally could end up with Adam after all, which, seems to be what the fans want anyway!
What do you think? Will Summer’s plan to get Sally back with Adam and away from her father work and is she becoming more like her mother? Let us know in the comments below.
