Despite Stacey and Florian Sukaj having already tied the knot, she has decided to go ahead with a grand wedding. She took on the responsibility for the event’s organization due to being dissatisfied with the venues her husband had recommended. The couple’s wedding cake was a recent topic of discussion.
During a cake tasting session with their marriage organizer, Stacey and Florian asked what the cost might be. The wedding coordinator explained that cakes generally start at around $3,000, but the type of cake Stacey desired could be as expensive as $11,000. That did not go down very well with the fan base, as they questioned whether this was real.
One person wrote: “Former pastry chef here (in fl too) and those numbers are absolutely made up. I think it’s just to add to the illusion that they’re “rich” and that they like “expensive” things.
“I bet the actual cake they end up with is under 3k and that’s for 150 people with the bells and whistles,” while another person stated: “Poor Florian, coming from an area where whole families had to live on that amount of money for a year. How tone deaf can his partner be?”
Clearly, those numbers do not make sense. An alternative to spending a large amount on a wedding cake is to have a small, attractive display cake and a less-decorated sheet cake version to cut and share with the guests. Instead of spending $11,000 on a cake, the money could be used to fly to Albania and have a wedding there with Florian’s family present.
