CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers reveal that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) may have reached the end of her rope. She feels that she has been sacrificing herself for her children repeatedly and they are shutting her out. She is feeling alone and that might lead her to make some dangerous alliances.

Phyllis just wants what is best for her children, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei). She has intervened because she wanted to protect Summer from Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). She has intervened because she wanted to help Daniel with his company and help him reconnect with his family.
Her children have not seen it this way. Instead of intervening, they see it as interfering. They have tried to explain this to her repeatedly, but she just sees them as ungrateful. She isn’t willing or able to see herself in the wrong but considers herself wronged. For this reason, she may not be able to have a relationship with her children.

Phyllis tells Summer she feels tired. She is being rejected by them because she can’t see that her actions are harmful. Phyllis still thinks she is not wrong but feels rejected and lonely. She feels that she has only ever been a caring mother. In her moments of desperation, she finds Jeremy Stark’s (James Hyde) eyes on her.
Since he has returned to Genoa City, he has been trying to engage with her. He wants someone on his side and knows that she hates Diane. She can be a great ally in his revenge plans. The police are watching him, but having an accomplice could be very helpful. Phyllis is frustrated, discouraged and alone, so she may be more tempted by him.
