Pamela Anderson is reaffirming her statements that were made during the peak of the #MeToo campaign.

Anderson confessed to Megyn Kelley that she faced a frightening experience with film producer, turned guilty serial rapist, Harvey Weinstein. During their conversation, she revealed the following: “You know what you’re getting into if you go to a hotel room alone.”

Those comments did not sit well with some people for the following reasons. First of all, it may have inadvertently implied that people had some culpability in deciding to deal with Weinstein knowing what could have happened.

Secondly, others felt she could have used a better choice of words. While that may have been the case, Pamela has since then gone a step further by stating she had no regrets over it.

In her comments, she said: “I could even take it a step further. My mother would tell me — and I think this is the kind of feminism I grew up with — it takes two to tango.

“If someone answers the door in a hotel robe and you’re going for an interview, don’t go in. But if you do go in, get the job.” Despite that being the case, Pamela did admit that she understood what it meant to have a sense of self-worth.

With that being said, she praised the #MeToo movement in that it allows people to have a voice and speak out against their experiences, even if the organisation has not always helped itself, with suggestions it encourages cancel culture before proving innocence.

She added: “Thank God for the #MeToo movement because things have changed and people are much more careful and respectful.” The fans on social media resonated with Pamela’s comments. A certain subset of people felt this was the reality of the entertainment industry.

One person wrote: “Never thought I’d agree with this woman but she’s right. Good for her.” So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
