In the first season of Love Is Blind, we were first introduced to Jessica Batten. She joined the show because she was looking for love. The idea behind Love Is Blind is that it is an experiment where singles are put into pods and they learn to love one another based on their conversations and the connections that they make there.
They never see each other until one of them proposes. Jessica fell in love in the pods, but she decided that she wasn’t ready to marry the man she fell for. Just months after she appeared on the show, she met Benjamin McGrath and the two of them fell in love and were married. Now it looks as if they are expecting their first child together!

Jessica recently shared a new picture of the couple together and in the photo, her hands are on her belly making a heart. She captioned the photo, “New Year, Same Me, New Mom! Sending the best wishes and blessing your way in 2023. We’re excited and humbled to share we will welcome our baby into the world and into our growing family in early June. AHH!!”
Love Is Blind: Jessica Batten and Benjamin McGrath Expecting First Child Together in SHOCKING Turn Of Events
She shared a few pictures of their pregnancy photoshoot with People Magazine. This will be Jessica’s first child, but McGrath has two others from a previous marriage.
The couple got engaged in October 2021 and Jessica mentioned that she was “learning to be a parent” with Ben’s children. She added, “It’s been awesome and three for the price of one for me. I didn’t know this would be in my future, but I couldn’t imagine my life without them. They’re so super special to me. It’s a lot of sacrifice, but it’s so rewarding. After being by myself for so long, or just me and my dog, Payton, now having them, it’s just a whole different perspective.”
Jessica and Ben have been looking forward to starting a family all their own and this has made them incredibly happy. Jessica mentioned that she would have been open to adoption if she couldn’t have a child of her own. We hope that these two will continue to share their pregnancy journey with fans and we look forward to seeing more of them.
