Bravo fans who condemned Ramona Singer for exiting the “Real Housewives of New York” after 13 seasons were exposed as being hypocritical by Andy Cohen.
Real Housewives of New York: Andy Cohen Slams Hypocritical Fans Over Ramona Singer’s Exit-‘It’s So Funny’
Reports indicated that Singer was leaving the show after appearing on it for 13 seasons. And as part of that process, there were conflicting narratives over the reason for her departure. One such source stressed that the network did not want to have her on board on the basis that she bashed the reboot, the Legacy series.
Not only that, but other sources suggested that Ramona was not simply offered the opportunity to appear in the franchise. But for Andy, he appeared to be annoyed at the different narratives surrounding the worth of Ramona.
This was on the basis that he called out fans for lamenting her exit, but prior to that actually happening, things appeared to be quite different. In his comments, Cohen said: “Every time it was mentioned, it was ‘Please, no Ramona.’ You go on Twitter, ‘Get rid of Ramona.
“But the second Ramona announces she’s leaving, ‘Nooo, Ramona’s a legend!’ Like, it’s so funny. It’s so funny.” Nevertheless, there does appear to be more to this than meets the eye.
First of all, Cohen went on to praise Ramona for how much he had given to the show throughout the years. She was ultimately on it for 13 seasons, which is why she has become one of the OG members of the franchise.
Secondly, Cohen expanded on how he had a very Frank conversation with Ramona concerning it. And by the looks of it, Singer does have a few other things on her plate as well.
Andy’s following comments confirmed as much: “I had a great conversation with her about this a few weeks ago and she was — I think she’s very bullish on what she has going on in her life right now. I’m going to leave it there.”
