In Texas, Deshaun Watson is being sued for sexual misconduct after a massage therapist alleges that the former Browns quarterback forced her to perform oral sex for him during a therapy session in 2020 at a Houston-area hotel. The now 27-year-old Watson is alleged to have contacted a licensed therapist and asked for a massage in December 2020 in the lawsuit, which was filed on Thursday in Harris County under the name “Jane Doe.”
The therapist, who was conducting her business from home during Covid, claims that she consented to meet Deshaun at a nearby hotel. The massage therapist asserts that “Watson removed his towel and offered to let her ‘get on top.’ Plaintiff refused to have sex with Watson, however, he was able to pressure her into oral sex with the Defendant.”
Cleveland Browns Quarterback Deshaun Watson Adds ANOTHER Accusation To His List, NFL Claims His Status Remains Unchanged
The therapist, who normally bills $115 an hour, says the quarterback gave her $300. The lawsuit was filed just days after Watson was given permission to rejoin the Browns’ practice, and it is separate from the group of cases Watson has settled without a trial. Due to the prior accusations made against the quarterback, Deshaun is currently serving an 11-game suspension.
Watson is still expected to play against his former team, the Texans, in week 13 despite the most recent sexual misconduct lawsuit being filed against him on Thursday, according to the NFL. A league spokesperson said that, “Watson’s status remains unchanged. We will monitor developments in the newly-filed litigation; and any conduct that warrants further investigation or possible additional sanctions would be addressed within the Personal Conduct Policy.”
Ironically, Watson wasn’t suspended for the entire season and happens to be coming back to play his old team just in time. It seems strange, but stranger yet is that nothing more is coming from these newest claims. It’s almost as if the NFL had this game planned the entire time and wants to see how much money Watson can bring in during week 13.
