In a new op-ed, the wife of the slain St. Louis police captain David Dorn, accused the Black Lives Matter movement and other progressive activists of dividing America and called them ‘supervillians’. Ann Dorn, a retired sergeant wrote the piece that was published with Fox News Tuesday and said her husband’s death was the product of Democrats and the left-wing activists who push anti-police sentiment.
Ann wrote that because active-duty police officers were ordered not to do their jobs, her husband died in the streets,
“Ultimately, David was murdered because the people who are supposed to protect our streets — active-duty police officers — were ordered not to do their jobs. It is clear that the anti-law enforcement sentiment that has been fueled in this country by Democrat and left-wing activist rhetoric has gone too far.”
Wife Of Late David Dorn Calls BLM A “Terrorist Organization” And Goes After VP Kamala Harris
David was killed outside his friend’s pawn shop that he was checking up on. He had done so for 30 years as the shop was just 10 minutes from his home, but over an hour from where the owner lived. Ann wrote that David had checked on the shop whenever the alarm went off for 30 years.
She claimed that her husband responded to the pawn shop alarm “knowing that the city was consumed by violence and chaos” as Black Lives Matter protests “descended upon the city,” torching buildings and looting stores. Ann recounted the moments before David’s death, and how a rioter named Stephan Cannon shot him in the chest and left him to bleed to death on the sidewalk.
We later discovered that one of the numerous viewers who watched David’s murder take place was David’s eldest grandson. A third rioter live-streamed the entire incident. The police captain’s death resulted in Cannon’s conviction for first-degree murder last month.
While Cannon has been charged, Ann doesn’t believe enough is being done when it comes to people like Kamala Harris, who raised money for the rioters’ bail. Ann even went on to say that while her husband David happened to be black, he did not believe in the organization Black Lives Matter because they never did anything to help.
“The same year David was killed, over a dozen children were shot in St. Louis, and never once did Black Lives Matter show up. Their lives mattered. Fifty-five businesses were looted or destroyed the night David was murdered, many of them Black-owned,” Dorn wrote. “Their livelihoods mattered. My husband was a Black man who selflessly served his community for over 40 years. His life mattered.”
