On Seeking Sister Wife, we were introduced to the Merrifields and they were courting a woman to add to their marriage. Dannielle Merrifield and Garrick Merrifield met a woman online, named Roberta Pache, who lives in Brazil. She met the couple in Mexico, had some great sex with Garrick, and immediately applied for her K-1 visa.
Her visa got approved, but her mother became ill. She told the Merrifields that she would have to stay in Brazil with her mother until she was better. Of course, they were upset, and they decided to try and court another woman in hopes that Roberta would get to them soon enough.

Roberta was very unhappy about the Merrfields finding another wife without her meeting her. She is very jealous and felt like this was stabbing her in the back. Dannielle told her husband that God told her that they need to work on another wife because they just don’t know when Roberta will be there.

Interestingly enough, Roberta has stopped following them on social media and she has started following an account called “Escaping Polygamy.” However, in the latest episode of the show, the couple goes to meet Roberta in Rio and they are there to help her move.
She has chosen to move to Colorado to be with them and she did tell Garrick that she didn’t like seeing him dating another woman. She said that she wants these moments with him, not with another woman.
Garrick tells the cameras, “The reason I end up agreeing and saying it’s a good idea to not court and date anybody is because we love Roberta with all of our heart. I want her to come to America and us to be a family.”
Dannielle then says, “I wouldn’t say that I feel like Roberta’s out of line to not want to continue dating right now. She needs an adjustment period. I understand that. But at the end of the day, we obviously miscommunicated.”
Why do fans of the show think that Roberta is like Robyn Brown? From the way that we have seen Garrick treat Roberta, she is favored by him. He asked his wife, Dannielle to divorce him so that he could legally marry Roberta. This sounds quite a bit like the marriage of Meri and Kody Brown.
We are eager to see what is next for Roberta and the Merrifields and see if she really does decide to leave them.
