NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal we recently saw #Cin for what will likely be the last time on Beyond Salem: Chapter 2. The couple had one last adventure before sailing off into the sunset. However, that doesn’t mean we’ve seen the last one of their portrayers. Here’s what you need to know.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: It’s over
So, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal the Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) and Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) pairing might have been seen for the last time. Konefal once more decided to leave, which led to them following in a family tradition and sailing around the world.
It was a great final appearance, although we’d caution to never say never. After all, they already had to write around her leaving once. And with a certain twist in the DOOL world, we wouldn’t be surprised in this family reunited someday. That left the PTB with a problem.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: What to do?
It’s been clear they don’t want to recast either part, as the combination of Konefal and Wilson has been a hit with fans of the couple. However, there are practical concerns when one actor wants to leave and the other is ready to keep going. That was the dilemma that led to Ciara supposedly being dead for a while.
It allowed the character to be off the canvas while giving Wilson a story to keep him around. We actually found it very admirable of the team behind the show to do what they can to keep Wilson working despite the behind the scenes changes. And it looks like they came up with a more creative and permanent decision this time around.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Welcome to Salem
So, what are they doing? Well, Wilson wrote a goodbye post to Ben, but didn’t rule out a return in some form. And the news just broke as to who he’ll be playing when he returns. And it will be a lot sooner than one might think.
This time, Wilson will be playing Alex Kiriakis, the son of Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth). The actors got together for an interview on the DOOL YouTube Channel where Kurth interviewed his new fictional son. And it sounds like we’re in for a totally different character than Ben. We think that will be a great thing, as things could get repetitive with Ben’s torment over his past sins. It should be fun to see him likely bring a lighter, fun energy to the table.
According to the pair, Alex is a bit of a playboy and a businessman. The actor describes the new role as “Refreshing.” It was fun also, to see Kurth already being in a fatherly role, as he gave Wilson a pep talk about changing characters in Daytime.
