CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers are ready for things to remain the same in Genoa City after the big announcement.
The more things change, the more they stay the same in Genoa City, and today looks like it’s going to be a character building episode based on reestablishing the status quo.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For July 7: Victor reigns in Adam
We were hoping there would be a shakeup and those that went on the attack and lectured Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) would be held accountable, but she hasn’t really grown at all since it’s still about daddy’s acceptance.
And since Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is not Victoria’s consigliere, he’ll remain the true power behind the throne now that she’s back and they’re enamored with each other like normal.
Because of that, Victor’s going to focus on Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to make sure he doesn’t cause trouble despite having his position pulled out from under him on a whim.
Everyone knew this was coming, but it’s still a slap in the face to him. Victor will try to convince him his time will come, but they have to be behind Victoria now.
Basically the same song and dance, and it’ll push Adam back to his dark side.
Nepotism has a price.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For July 7: Nikki soothes Nick’s concerns
With Victoria wanting to bring Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) back into the company, he’s going to be caught between joining her and staying away from the company.
Sure he was thinking of coming back to save the company from Adam, but it can be argued that while he was going to do so to protect Victoria, he may have been doing it to protect Adam from what just happened to him.
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will know Nick’s on the fence and she’ll talk to him about what this means to Victoria to have him there with her. He’s the one she trusts more than anything, and it’d be best for Victoria for him to come back.
‘Young and the Restless’ expect this to be a loving guilt trip, and it may work since Nick will want to help Victoria no matter what.
