Elon Musk’s daughter Xavier Musk has reportedly taken legal steps to change her name in an attempt to distance herself from the billionaire.

According to reports, Xavier made the decision to file her paperwork in L.A in the aftermath of turning 18 in April of this year. And as part of that process, it is alleged that she wants her name to be ‘Vivian Jenna Wilson.’ Not only that, but it is also claimed that Xavier wants to be legally recognised as a female.
This begs the question: why did Xavier decide to make this decision? First, it could be argued that this was simply an attempt to garner some independence from her father and forge a life herself. After all, if Elon is a billionaire, then there may be certain conditions that come with benefiting from that.
Secondly, it could also be argued that this is being done in order to cut ties with the billionaire. And it is the latter that has been suggested by the court documents.
The court documents confirmed as much: “[It is for] Gender Identity and the fact that I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form.”
When we look at Elon’s prior social media activity, it is fair to say that he has ruffled a few feathers when it comes to members of the LGBTQ+ community. Given the plethora of pronouns that are out there, which people choose to identify with, this is something that has not resonated well with Musk.
In a prior post on social media, he remarked: “I absolutely support trans, but all these pronouns are an esthetic nightmare.” The fans on social media had a lot to say about Xavier cutting ties. In the process of doing so, they were not so complementary of Elon.
