Just when CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers thought it was safe to avoid the millionth rendition of a storyline, they sucked us back in.
It’s amazing how this show can make us feel like we stepped into a time machine and went back a couple of weeks to relive another retelling, and this time we doubt the ending will be any different than the rest for the Newmans.
On the plus side, it looks like this episode isn’t going to be all circling back, at least not to something as close as a week or two ago, and there’s some potential in the other storylines so we’re set to dive in.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For June 22: Another Newman rallying cry
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) managed to go a few days without sounding the alarm, but he couldn’t resist any longer and will summon the Newmans so they can rush out and save Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).
Of course, this will happen when Victoria didn’t run back into his arms after his latest manipulation attempt of putting Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) in the CEO chair of Newman Enterprises.
Or maybe he hasn’t let that news come out yet and wants to don a caveman outfit and drag her back kicking and screaming because that’ll be faster.
Whatever his reasoning is, Victoria’s not going to come running back because he wills it, and since he’ll be sending the family after her again it’ll just make her dig her heels in even more.
The only saving grace in this one is ‘Young and the Restless’ expect Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) to refuse as he’ll honor Victoria’s wishes.
It’ll upset Victor, but he needs to learn to treat his children as something more than pawns.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For June 22: Chelsea looks for inspiration
We admit, when we saw the teaser that Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) was revisiting her past, our first thought was she’s going to try to find another way to get to her goal, whether a con or other.
But the more we thought about it, the more we think she’s going to go back and look at some of her earlier designs to get inspiration for her new ones.
Since they’re on a time crunch, she may even update her old designs so they can get them made and shipped out.
While this shouldn’t be a problem, we suspect that down the line there’s going to ne a SNAFU in regards to her reusing her designs.
