Amy King has been very open about her famous family and now that her cousin, Josh Duggar has been sentenced for possession of child pornography, she has even more to say.
When it comes to her family, Amy has always said what was on her mind. She has always been seen as the black sheep of the family and isn’t afraid to admit that her ways are much different than theirs. Many of her family members have kept quiet about Josh’s charges, but now that he has been sentenced, Amy was one of the first to speak out about it.

She told fans, “Twelve and a half years isn’t enough, but I hope that every single second he’s there feels like an eternity.” Amy was one of the family members who shared a letter to the judge about Josh and although her letter wasn’t to boost him up, it was to show that he has a history of this kind of activity and he should be in jail.
Her letter read, “My other family members have written to you with pleas for leniency for my cousin. They want you to consider his good acts instead of his heinous crimes. This is not that kind of letter. I am not interested in providing false character references for Josh, as my other family members have so recklessly done. I trust this court doesn’t need reminding that Godly men of good character don’t commit unspeakable crimes against children. Or that returning this monster to a family with young children without severe, long-lasting consequences would surely be a disaster.”
Her letter went on, “It upset me greatly to see that no one who chose to provide a character reference for Josh expressed any concern for his victims. My cousin and his supporters would like you to believe this is a victimless crime, but it’s not. As for Josh’s character, I am just so grateful that I was protected from my cousin as a child. Twenty years isn’t enough. I truly believe that he will offend again.”
It looks as if Anna Duggar seems to be very happy with the sentencing and during the hearing, she was all smiles at her husband. We do hope that the victims and their families will get the help that they need during this rough time. This case has been one for the books, for sure.
