Actor Bill Murray has spoken out for the first time since he was accused of engaging in inappropriate behaviour on the set of ‘Being Mortal.’

Since those allegations broke, a decision was made to halt filming for the movie so that an investigation could be concluded. While it is not clear what Bill has exactly done, the very fact of the matter is that it was serious enough to get the authorities involved.
With that being said, it looks as though Bill has expressed an element of remorse through his following comments. In an official statement, he said: “I did something I thought was funny, and it wasn’t taken that way.”
As of now, it is not clear if Bill is going to return to filming. And if it transpires that he is removed from the project, then this will have catastrophic consequences in more ways than one.
Firstly, Bill will most likely be canceled. At the age of 71, trying to recover and bounce back to the acting industry would be very difficult. Not only that, but there could be legal ramifications too.
Secondly, in any event, the credibility of the movie may be damaged if Bill does make a return. And even in the case of him being recast, the release date of 2023 will have to be pushed back. In the meantime, however, Bill is hoping that a resolution can be reached as soon as possible.
He added: “As of now, we’re talking and we’re trying to make peace with each other. I think that’s where the real issue is, between our peace.” In reality, it is very difficult to judge whether Bill should be removed unless the public is aware of what the exact nature of the offence was.
But outside of evidence to the contrary, coupled with the fact that Bill feels confident that a compromise can be reached, perhaps he may return. His following comments confirmed as much: “I think we’re going to make peace with it, I’m very optimistic about that.”
