The new season of 90 Day Fiancé is here and we have started to really get to know these couples. One of the new couples is Bilal Hazziez and Shaaeda Sween. These two met online and they have been together for quite some time. Shaaeda lives in Trinidad and Bilal is from Missouri. She came out to the states to get married and live with him, but so far, fans aren’t sure they like the way that she is acting.
90 Day Fiancé: Bilal’s Prank
Bilal played a huge prank on Shaaeda and picked her up in a van that was pretty dirty and brought her to his old home, which no one has lived in for over 15 years. The paint is peeling, there’s dust everywhere, and Shaaeda doesn’t like it. Nevertheless, she says that she will give it a try and this is something they can handle together.
90 Day Fiancé: Bilal Talked Into The Show
Shaaeda feels that Bilal may be hiding a lot from her since this is the home he is showing her. Little does she know, he is pranking her. She told the cameras, “I still love Bilal, but I’m worried that he’s not being real. I think he’s a little delusional with carrying this image and living in, in the Caribbean, we call it a two-by-four home.”
It turns out that Bilal didn’t really want to be on the show and Shaaeda had to talk him into it. Shaaeda was the one who really convinced him to do it.
He told fans, “She beat me up about it over and over again. I think the trigger for me was I didn’t see a couple that resembled us. We’re both Muslims, born and raised, and I didn’t see another couple who were both Muslim for the diaspora, somebody who is from Trinidad presented and also somebody who is African-American.” Bilal really did want to show people a Blac man who has been very successful in business and has made a name for himself.
When asked about this season of the show, Matt Sharp, from Sharp Entertainment said, “We wanted to do something completely different and tell real stories. And I think authenticity really comes through when you watch this show… we are following real journeys. We have not put anyone together.”
If you want to continue to follow Bilal and Shaaeda‘s journey, be sure to tune into 90 Day Fiancé. It airs on Sunday nights at 8 p.m. EST on TLC.
