72-Year-Old Vogue Editor-In-Chief Anna Wintour Humiliated After Being Asked To Show ID At A Broadway Show-‘Shattered Her Life’
Anna, for her part, is arguably the biggest name in the fashion industry. She is one of the co-chairs of the Met Gala, which means she has a say on who gets invited. But any chance of her stardom helping her to navigate security was wiped out when she was asked to provide ID.
In the video here, we can see that Anna has arrived at the Cherry Lane Theatre. She is wearing some sunglasses, and as she is about to make her way inside, when one of the staff asks: “Do you have any ID?”
After appearing a little puzzled, someone intervenes to let the staff member know that things are fine before allowing Anna to enter. In the worker’s defence, it is possible to argue the following reasons.
First of all, perhaps she did not recognise who Anna was. As such, in accordance with protocol, she resorted to asking for ID which she would have done with anyone else.
Secondly, there is always the possibility that Anna’s appearance did not help matters. In the picture here, we can see that she has covered up her eyes with the use of sunglasses indoors. Thus, it is possible to argue that the worker may have suspected something.
In any event, the fans on social media had a field day. A significant proportion of people began to mock Anna by claiming that she did not help herself with her attire. Meanwhile, others focused on the fact that she was clearly left humiliated.
One person wrote: “Shattered her life, I know it did lol.” while another person stated: “Lmao. Rude awakening to the fact that young stylish ppl don’t worship Vogue anymore.”
