Thandiwe Newton could be entering into rehab following the breakdown of her marriage with Ol Parker.

The duo, for their part, had been together for over two decades. During the course of that process, they raised three children together. Naturally, after having been together for so long, it was understandable if Thandiwe was struggling to adjust.
And so it showed, as she has stopped filming for “Magic Mike 3” after the crew became concerned about her welfare. A source said: “Thandiwe had been acting strange on set, she has been very highly strung. Her apparent breakdown caused so much disruption, it became clear she couldn’t play the role.”
The actress’ agent had allegedly tried to get to the bottom of what was happening. But once it became clear that this was not going to be possible, Thandiwe made the decision to fly back to the United States in order to enter rehab.
There is nothing to suggest that she has been engaging in any substance abuse of any kind, as the focus seems to be on making sure that her mental health is in order. The source added: “Thandiwe’s team wants her to go to rehab for mental health support.
“She was supposed to leave immediately for a facility, they tried for a Malibu rehab, but they couldn’t take her. Arrangements are now being made to go to a facility in Arizona.”
Despite these claims, initial reports indicated that Thandiwe had been fired from the movie after having been involved in a bust up with co-star Channing Tatum. This was apparently on the basis of arguing about Will Smith’s slapping incident at the Oscars.
Although sources have denied that this was true, Salma Hayek has been confirmed as Thandiwe’s replacement. Hopefully, Thandiwe can overcome her demons and get back to her usual self.
