The Duke of Sussex is planning to attend the Invictus Games in The Hague in the Netherlands next month in his capacity as founding patron, a spokesperson has said. Here’ what you need to know.
The Invictus Games is an international sporting event founded by the Duke of Sussex which sees wounded, injured and sick serving personnel and veterans compete in a series of athletic games. In a video promoting the Games, in which Prince Harry practiced his Dutch and donned an orange outfit, and told athletes, “See you soon in The Hague.”
Prince Harry Is About To Make A Huge Trip Overseas
Earlier this week, the Duke of Sussex dressed in top-to-toe orange to celebrate the lead-up to the fifth annual Invictus Games.
What’s more, it seems like Harry will be accompanied by a camera crew while on the trip as he will be filming a documentary for the Invictus Games.
One source said, “Our understanding is that the Duke of Sussex will be accompanied by a small film crew in order to allow the public to see the hard work involved in planning these games.”
The Games, which start on April 16, will come a few weeks after Prince Philip’s memorial service. Prince Harry has made it clear that he doesn’t plan on visiting the UK anytime soon simply because he fears for his safety in his home country.
This comes after an incident that occured in which he was chased by paparazzi during his last trip home during the summer of 2021. Harry was on hand to reveal a statue of his mother Princess Diana at Kensington Gardens alongside his brother, Prince William.
